The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jakh throws a sloppy head kick and Ovechkin moves out of range easily.
Jakh tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ovechkin swivels and escapes.
Jakh shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ovechkin as he jumps to the side.
Jakh closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ovechkin circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sandy Jakh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jakh misses with a body kick.
Ovechkin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jakh shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ovechkin is looking to clinch.
Jakh misses with a takedown attempt - Ovechkin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jakh misses with a low kick.

Ovechkin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ovechkin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Jakh has left one of his arms exposed and Ovechkin doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Jakh screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
