Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Math Lafer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sharin Todongs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lafer decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lafer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Lafer is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Lafer misses with a head shot. Todongs uses the momentum to regain guard.
Lafer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Todongs keeping moving, preventing Lafer from controlling successfully.
Todongs has momentary wrist control but Lafer slips an elbow through the middle.
Lafer is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Lafer throws and elbow that misses. Todongs uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lafer's guard. Nice move by Todongs!

Lafer takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Lafer is just content to waste time from the top position. Todongs takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Todongs takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Todongs avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Lafer.
Lafer is looking to take a break and control but Todongs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lafer lands a few punches from side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Lafer looks up at the clock and then as Todongs takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lafer smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Lafer is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Todongs knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Lafer works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Lafer throwing strikes but Todongs manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Lafer tries to bench press Todongs off him but Todongs keeps the position.

Todongs throws a strike aimed at the side of Lafer's head but Lafer avoids it well.
Todongs is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lafer knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Todongs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lafer keeps working.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lafer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Lafer throwing shots but Todongs is blocking nicely.
Lafer frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Lafer counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Todongs thinking.
