The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eremiel has taken the fight to the clinch.
Banuwa tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Banuwa misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Eremiel.

Eremiel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A thudding body kick lands there by Eremiel!
Eremiel shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Eremiel throws a nice outside leg kick.
Banuwa looks gassed!

Eremiel closes the distance and clinches.

Eremiel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Eremiel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Banuwa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Eremiel lands a head kick!

It looks like Jimi Banuwa has been cut.

Banuwa circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Eremiel finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Eremiel throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Eremiel feints and then cracks Banuwa's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Banuwa down.
Banuwa takes a kick to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Eremiel buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Good leg kick by Eremiel there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Eremiel.
A slapping body kick lands there for Eremiel.
Eremiel is looking to slow Banuwa down with leg kicks.

Eremiel closes the distance and pushes Banuwa back into the cage.

Eremiel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Eremiel tries to clinch up but Banuwa circles away and keeps his distance.
Buer Eremiel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Eremiel counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Eremiel.

Eremiel creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Banuwa's defenses.
Banuwa throws a knee to the head but misses.
Eremiel comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

The cut above Jimi Banuwa's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Eremiel avoids a wild elbow strike from Banuwa.
Eremiel gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Jimi Banuwa's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Banuwa pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Eremiel avoids the elbow strike from Banuwa, against the cage.
Eremiel throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jimi Banuwa's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
