PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Greig Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slick Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes into the arena with Duality blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Slick Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Smith drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Johnson wants the takedown. Smith is fighting it off but Johnson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Smith's guard against the cage.

Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between Smith's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Johnson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Smith can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Johnson wants to finish this one by submission but Smith is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Johnson.

Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Smith quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Johnson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Smith celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
