Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bolo tries to clinch but Castillo is having none of it.
Bolo misses with a head kick.
Bolo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Castillo is trying to stand up here but Bolo is controlling him well.
Castillo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Castillo pushes Bolo off and gets back to his feet.
Bolo shoots in for a takedown but Castillo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Castillo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bolo - the referee stops the clock and Castillo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bolo. Castillo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Castillo lands a really nice looking cross but Bolo seems unphased.

Bolo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Castillo's guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Castillo stalks Bolo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bolo's face. Bolo staggers backwards, shaken.
Castillo looks to land a combination but Bolo avoids it well.

and Castillo counters with a nice body shot.
Castillo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Castillo tests Bolo's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bolo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Castillo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bolo somewhat.
Castillo has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Castillo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bolo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Castillo is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bolo had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bolo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Castillo counters with a series of strikes. Bolo will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Castillo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bolo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Castillo, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bolo wants to stand but Castillo has his arm trapped.
Bolo swings around for an armbar but Castillo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bolo's guard.
Castillo stands and steps away. Bolo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Castillo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Castillo swings for the body but Bolo moves out of range.
Castillo stuns Bolo with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Castillo. Bolo does a little dance to reset his feet.
