Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Enrique Rodrigo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amaury Grizz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amaury Grizz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Grizz can pounce on him.
Rodrigo takes one to the side of the head.
Grizz throws a right and a left that Rodrigo avoids nicely.
Grizz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rodrigo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Grizz as he jumps to the side.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Grizz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Grizz uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Rodrigo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Rodrigo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rodrigo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rodrigo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
