Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Blachovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheldon Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blachovich comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - Enter Sandman. Cooper has chosen L'Chaim To Life) as his entrance music. John Blachovich has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Blachovich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sheldon Cooper!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper looks to land a left hand but Blachovich moved out of range nicely.
Cooper misses with a straight left.

Blachovich fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cooper, pushing him back against the cage.
Blachovich blocking some punches.
Cooper has Blachovich pushed against the cage.
Blachovich stalling in the clinch but Cooper improves position.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Blachovich as Cooper tries to tie him up.
Blachovich tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
A right handed body shot lands from Blachovich.
A frustrated look appears on Cooper's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Blachovich escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Blachovich throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blachovich looks to score with a jab to the body but Cooper is just out of range.
Cooper keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cooper throws a jab when Blachovich was well out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cooper throws a hook but Blachovich blocks it.
Blachovich moves out of range of the strikes.
Blachovich stuns Cooper with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Cooper shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Cooper wants to pass to mount but Blachovich is defending the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cooper uses his free foot to push down on Blachovich's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Blachovich.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Cooper swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Blachovich is now in Cooper's guard. A big mistake from Cooper there, giving up the dominant position!

Blachovich decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Blachovich is looking to clinch.
Blachovich bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Cooper blocks a head kick by Blachovich.
Cooper keeps the fight on the outside.
Blachovich throws a sloppy head kick and Cooper moves out of range easily.
Blachovich staying out of range there.
Blachovich uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cooper.
Cooper uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Blachovich.
Cooper is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Blachovich throws a push kick but Cooper slaps the foot to one side.
Blachovich wants to clinch up but Cooper keeps it at a distance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Blachovich throws a solid leg kick but Cooper takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Blachovich.

Blachovich moves into range and clinches up with Cooper.
Cooper is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Blachovich just misses with a elbow thrown towards Cooper's brow.

Blachovich's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Blachovich tries a head kick but it misses.
Blachovich throws a jab but it's blocked by Cooper.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Blachovich dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Blachovich has his takedown stuffed

and Cooper counters with a single leg into guard. Blachovich didn't expect that.
Cooper stands and throws Blachovich's legs to the side, diving into side control.
You can see the frustration on Blachovich's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Blachovich wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Cooper wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blachovich keeps working.

Cooper is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Blachovich knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cooper working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Cooper tries to move into full mount but can't pass Blachovich's legs.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Cooper trying to control the action but Blachovich is working from the bottom.
Blachovich is trying to buck Cooper off.
Blachovich is not content to let Cooper control the position.
Blachovich is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cooper has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Cooper tries for a kimura but Blachovich is defending well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Blachovich throws the kick towards the body but Cooper avoids it.
Blachovich steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cooper.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Blachovich tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Blachovich misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
John Blachovich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blachovich throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Blachovich blocks a jab.
Blachovich is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Blachovich swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sheldon Cooper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Cooper misses with a hook. Blachovich ducked under it nicely.

Blachovich ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cooper moves away.
Blachovich throws a head kick that misses.
Cooper might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

and Blachovich counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Cooper is looking to control Blachovich's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cooper avoid being mounted?
Blachovich tries to stand and escape but Cooper actually recovers to full guard.

Cooper wants to sweep here but Blachovich controlling him for the moment.
Blachovich tries to stand but Cooper is controlling from the bottom.
Blachovich wants to stand and escape but instead Cooper has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cooper passes Blachovich's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Blachovich gets full guard.
Cooper passes into half guard.
Cooper is trying to control. Blachovich wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Cooper passes to full mount!

Cooper goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Blachovich turns into him and now he's in Cooper's guard.

Blachovich decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cooper, up you get!
Blachovich throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Blachovich tries a head kick but it misses.
Blachovich throws a hook but Cooper blocks it.

Blachovich closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Cooper is looking for a sweep.

Blachovich decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cooper to his feet.
Blachovich throws a lazy right hand but Cooper sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
John Blachovich showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Blachovich has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
