Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sebastian Bordoada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bruce Banner! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banner fails to land the takedown. Bordoada leaves Banner with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bordoada avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Bordoada shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Banner defends it nicely. The fight stays on the outside here - Banner looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Banner tries a head kick but it misses.
Bordoada fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bordoada gets a takedown into half guard. Banner wants to get back to his feet. Bordoada content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bordoada seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Banner for as long as he can get away with. Banner regains full guard. Nicely done. Bordoada not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Banner wants to stand and escape but Bordoada is having none of it. Bordoada keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Banner's head. Bordoada is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Banner should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Bordoada is working Banner over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Bordoada sitting in guard here, content to control. Banner controls Bordoada momentarily but Bordoada frees himself. Banner is looking to stand up but Bordoada isn't so interested in that idea. Banner looks gassed! He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Banner has his feet on Bordoada's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Banner throws the left hand but Bordoada avoids the punch easily. Banner doesn't manage to clinch there - Bordoada circles away.
Bordoada shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bordoada showed some decent athleticism there. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banner wants to get back to his feet. Bordoada will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Banner slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Bordoada is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Bordoada postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. That's four minutes gone in the round. Banner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bordoada moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bordoada is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Banner. Bordoada dodges the punch combination from Banner.

and Bordoada decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Banner's guard. Bordoada is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bordoada has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Banner looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bordoada stops Banner from standing up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bordoada is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Banner throws a nice looking combination but Bordoada bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bordoada shoots in and drives through. Banner sprawls well. Banner shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Banner was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Banner has control of Bordoada's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bordoada regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bordoada tries to hold on but Banner pushes him away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bordoada tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Banner wants to control the pace but Bordoada is squirming around nicely. Banner is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bordoada can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A solid leg kick lands there for Banner.

Bordoada fails with the takedown and Banner counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bordoada! Banner has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bordoada's face.

Bruce Banner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Banner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bordoada gets slowly back to his feet. Banner throws a combination. Bordoada tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Bordoada slips a jab and a cross from Banner.
Sebastian Bordoada is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Banner works over Bordoada's head and body with a nice combination. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Banner clobbers Bordoada with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Banner moves into the clinch successfully.

Both guys are working to get underhooks. Banner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Horrible takedown by Bordoada or perhaps it was just good defense by Banner which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sebastian Bordoada. That's going to take a lot out of him. Banner lands the left hand. Banner misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Banner gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bordoada to score an easy takedown into full guard. Banner is looking to stand up but Bordoada isn't so interested in that idea. Bordoada trying to control but Banner is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bordoada decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Banner, up you get! Banner tries for a takedown but Bordoada circles away easily and Bordoada counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bordoada scoring with some ground and pound. Bordoada throws a big right hand that misses. Banner looking for a guillotine here but Bordoada defends easily.
Banner wants to stand and escape but Bordoada is having none of it. Banner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bordoada can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Banner is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banner looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bordoada is one step ahead there. Bordoada landing with the ground and pound.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Banner scores with a nice head shot. Banner buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Bordoada throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Banner was covering up waiting for the punch and Bordoada finishes the takedown easily into guard. Bordoada trying to control but Banner is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bordoada is stalling in the full guard. Bordoada with a flurry of punches that miss. Bordoada won't allow Banner to get back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nice sprawl there from Banner as Bordoada shoots in.
And that's the end of the fight! Sebastian Bordoada showed his dominance in that final round. I think Bordoada has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
