Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between sixsten Lindmark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). sixsten Lindmark could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mac Davis's chin.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lindmark swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Davis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lindmark struggling a bit here.
Lindmark tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davis lands a nice forearm strike.
Davis advances to full mount.
Davis controlling from the full mount.
Lindmark wants to control but Davis is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lindmark reaches up to try and control the position but Davis seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Lindmark rolls and tries to escape and now Davis has his back!

Davis is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Lindmark defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Davis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Davis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lindmark gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Davis is looking to advance position but Lindmark has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Lindmark is fighting off a takedown attempt but Davis is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lindmark to the mat. Lindmark regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Davis is pushing down on Lindmark's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lindmark is fighting to maintain full guard but Davis has managed to sneak the leg through.

Despite being in the dominant position, Mac Davis just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Davis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lindmark's face.

Davis lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Lindmark hold on?!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
