PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Silver Haze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunner Lisa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Haze is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lisa's half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lisa can do anything to dispel that myth.

Haze drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Haze jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Haze drops back looking for a leg! Lisa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lisa manages to kick Haze off! Haze jumps back into Lisa's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Haze shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lisa pinned against the cage. Lisa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lisa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Haze looks up at the clock and then as Lisa takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Haze smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Haze is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lisa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Haze is breathing heavily.

Lisa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lisa is trying to control Haze's posture but Haze avoids it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Silver Haze dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Lisa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Haze is fending him off so far but Lisa persists. Nope, Haze circles away and we're back to standing.
Horrible takedown by Haze or perhaps it was just good defense by Lisa which made him look bad.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lisa wants to get back to full guard but Haze has mounted him!
Haze takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lisa is bucking up trying to escape but Haze cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Lisa wants to hold on but Haze pushes him away.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Haze here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Lisa is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Haze slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Haze is working to tighten is grip on Lisa's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Lisa has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Haze is really squeezing tight and eventually Lisa passes out! Haze breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
