The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Smith keeps the fight on the outside.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Smith.
A telegraphed right hand from beto misses the target.
beto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Smith tries to clinch up but beto circles away and keeps his distance.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
beto misses with a head kick.
beto throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing beto off to one side.
beto moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Smith scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Smith seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Smith is keen to just control but beto is a slippery customer.
