Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Snoop Gizzel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paolo Nazaire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nazaire is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Spaceape (Burial). Snoop Gizzel had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Paolo Nazaire is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gizzel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nazaire swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gizzel moves in looking to clinch but Nazaire pushes him off.

Nazaire ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nazaire no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Nazaire working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gizzel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gizzel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nazaire looking for a guillotine here but Gizzel defends easily.

Nazaire has his foot on Gizzel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gizzel works his way back into a safe position though.
Nazaire wants to sweep here but Gizzel controlling him for the moment.

Nazaire has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gizzel is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Nazaire.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nazaire has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Gizzel. Oh but Nazaire has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Gizzel goes limp - he's gone! Nazaire jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Paolo Nazaire!
