Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Lecouc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolas Leiva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lecouc comes to the cage accompanied by Turdus Muicus - A Shot of Inspiration. The crowd seem to be enjoying Leiva's choice of entrance music: Spiderbait - Black Betty. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lecouc tries to clinch there but Leiva circles away.

Lecouc closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Leiva is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Lecouc creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Leiva wants to control but Lecouc postures up.

Lecouc is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Leiva's shoulder. That is not cool.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lecouc scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Leiva to see if he's OK.
Lecouc is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Leiva is looking to reverse the position.
Lecouc has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lecouc looks up at the clock and then as Leiva takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lecouc smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Leiva tries to buck Lecouc off but Lecouc is having none of it.

Lecouc remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Lecouc seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Leiva for as long as he can get away with.

Lecouc cracks Leiva on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Leiva falls backwards against the cage. Lecouc follows up with more strikes that drop Leiva to his knees. Lecouc keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Leiva! This one is all over!
