Turpin has chosen Speak - Godsmack as his entrance music. Devon Turpin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turpin tries to clinch but Kiniski is having none of it.

Kiniski shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kiniski was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kiniski is trying to stick to Turpin's back but Turpin is turning into Kiniski. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kiniski's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Turpin.

Kiniski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Turpin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kiniski controls the pace.
