The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bjorn tries to clinch there but Van Damme circles away.

Van Damme breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Van Damme shoots in for a double leg but Bjorn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Van Damme seems to be working for a kimura but Bjorn defends the submission attempt.
Bjorn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Van Damme is working away from the top position though.

Bjorn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Van Damme closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Van Damme lands in his opponent's guard.
Van Damme stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bjorn swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Van Damme drops back looking for a leg! Bjorn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bjorn manages to kick Van Damme off! Van Damme jumps back into Bjorn's guard.
Bjorn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bjorn has his hands clasped together but Van Damme extends an breaks Bjorn's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Van Damme.
