The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morton scores with a jab to the body.
Morton keeps the fight on the outside.
Tai Chan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chan tries to clinch but Morton is having none of it.
Morton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Morton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chan.
Chan moves in looking to clinch but Morton pushes him off.
Chan walks into a straight right hand from Morton.
Chan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Chan shoots in for a double leg but Morton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Horrible takedown by Chan or perhaps it was just good defense by Morton which made him look bad.

Morton connects with a good right hand that stumbles Chan. Chan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Morton drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Chan's head, knocking him out cold! Morton is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
