Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Craig Daniels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Lucas!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daniels closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lucas did well to prevent Daniels getting side control.
Lucas looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Daniels seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lucas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Lucas looks like he's trying to stand up.
Lucas on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Daniels keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Lucas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Daniels. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Daniels working the head and body with strikes.
Daniels is looking to take a break and control but Lucas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Daniels seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Daniels is looking for a kimura but Lucas is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Daniels to get the leverage.
Daniels works his foot free and advances to mount.
Daniels sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lucas is bucking up trying to escape but Daniels cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Daniels lands a nice shot to the head.
Daniels looking to finish Lucas with some ground and pound. This is bad for Lucas!

Daniels tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Daniels working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Lucas turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Daniels off and cradles Lucas's limp body as Daniels celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Craig Daniels!
