Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arnulfo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris blocks a jab.
Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Morris slips under a jab.
Morris lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Morris misses with a series of wild punches.
Silva connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Morris ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.
Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Silva doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Morris changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Morris manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Morris ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.
Silva throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Morris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Morris off to one side.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Morris shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Morris keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Morris shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Morris was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Morris won't let Silva get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The referee warns Silva that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
