Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chingis Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ready Go (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chan comes to the cage accompanied by You Can't Bring Me Down by Suicidal Tendencies. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Chingis Chan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Ready Go!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan throws a leg kick that misses.

Go bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Chan is not content to let Go control the position.
Chan is being controlled here.
Chan dodges the ground and pound from Go.
Chan tries to buck Go off but Go is having none of it.
Go in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Go throws a strike aimed at the side of Chan's head but Chan avoids it well.
Chan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Go off and has taken his back!
Go wants to get back to his feet.

Chan is trying to stick to Go's back but Go is turning into Chan. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Chan's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Go.
Go missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Go slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Chan wants to stand up but Go is controlling him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Go loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Go trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Go postures up and lands a big shot to Chan's brow.
Go throws a big right hand that misses.
Go preventing the sweep.
Chan keeping moving, preventing Go from controlling successfully.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Go keeps the fight on the outside.

Go closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chan did well to prevent Go getting side control.

Chan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Chan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Go pulls his head out easily.
Go throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Go wants to take a breather but Chan is having none of it.
Go stalling.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Go takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Chan flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Chan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Go is working away from the top position though.
Go content to control rather than advance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Go ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chan moves away.
Go avoids the head kick by Chan.
Chan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Go paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Chan tries to clinch but Go is having none of it.
Go swats away the attempt to clinch by Chan.
Chan doesn't manage to clinch there - Go circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Go decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chan's guard.

Go is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Chan wants to sweep here but Go controlling him for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Go accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Go trying to control the position from guard on top but Chan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Chan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Go controls the pace.
Go stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Go stands up over Chan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Go is looking to work some ground and pound but Chan has wrist control.
Chan wants to sweep but no luck.

Chan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Go is in close to Chan's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Go controlling from the top position.
Go loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Go sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Go trying to control the position from guard on top but Chan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Go throws and elbow that misses. Chan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Go's guard. Nice move by Chan!
Chan won't allow Go to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ready Go showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Go changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chan tries to avoid it but Go manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chan to the ground. Chan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Go has his takedown stuffed
and Go takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Go counters with a nice double leg into side control. Chan won't be happy with that.
Chan is not content to let Go control the position.
Go postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Chan is working to avoid the ground and pound but Go connects with a decent elbow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chan can't do much from the bottom here.
Chan taking a bit of punishment here - Go scoring with strikes.
Go scores with a couple of short elbows.
Go has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Go is trying to ground and pound but Chan uses the momentary lack of control by Go to regain half guard.

Go seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Go in particular looking to stall.
Chan is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Go scores with a couple of nice shots.
Go trying to control the action but Chan is working from the bottom.

Chan flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Go is trying to control the action in half guard but Chan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Chan manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Chingis Chan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ready Go is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Go not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Ready Go comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Go winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
