The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lightning defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Terrier.

Terrier closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Terrier swings around for an armbar but Lightning sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Terrier's guard.
Terrier keeping moving, preventing Lightning from controlling successfully.
Lightning controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Lightning has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Terrier has an active guard here but Lightning has managed to pass into half guard.

Terrier is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lightning pulls his head out easily.
Terrier wants to improve his position but Lightning is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Still in half guard, Lightning seems content to control.

Terrier looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Lightning is defending well. Terrier quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Lightning has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Terrier celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
