Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Elley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Dumdum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Dumdum!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dumdum fails with an attempt to clinch.
Elley wants to clinch but Dumdum slips to the side

and Dumdum holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dumdum can't break the clinch.
Dumdum blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Dumdum is trying to break the clinch but Elley is controlling him.
Elley misses with a knee to the head.

Dumdum has hold of one of Elley's legs. Elley is fighting the takedown attempt but Dumdum gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Dumdum slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dumdum is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Elley defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Dumdum looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Elley is fending him off so far but Dumdum persists. Nope, Elley circles away and we're back to standing.

and Elley counters with a big head kick but Dumdum shrugs it off.

Dumdum is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Elley is keeping busy.
Elley has Dumdum pushed against the cage.

Elley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Elley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dumdum to the mat! Dumdum manages to get full guard.
Elley not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Dumdum tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Elley wants to control from the top but Dumdum keeps moving.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dumdum is on top in guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Elley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dumdum paws at him with a jab and circles away.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Elley is looking to control Dumdum's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Elley avoid being mounted?
Elley is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dumdum is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Dumdum wants to get back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Elley throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Dumdum's head.

Elley takes the fight into the clinch.
Elley misses with a knee to the head.

Elley manages to break the clinch.
Elley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Elley throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dumdum blocks it with crossed arms.

Elley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Elley lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Dumdum is trying hard to land a takedown here. Elley sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Stephen Elley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Dumdum.

Elley takes the fight into the clinch.
Elley throws an elbow but it misses.
Dumdum wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Dumdum takes a knee right on the jaw!
Elley will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Dumdum up against the cage.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Elley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
