Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kyle Sauve!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marillo Gracie!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sauve doesn't manage to clinch there - Gracie circles away.

Sauve gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Sauve working the strikes but Gracie uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Gracie moves into full guard.

Gracie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sauve is defending against the submission attempts here by Gracie.

Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sauve sees it coming and defends easily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Sauve makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Sauve stands up over Gracie, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Gracie wants to control the position but Sauve says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Sauve thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Gracie to regain full guard.

Sauve closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Gracie moves into full guard.
Sauve throws and elbow that misses. Gracie uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sauve's guard. Nice move by Gracie!

Sauve pulls Gracie in close to prevent any damage.
Gracie forces his way into half guard.
Gracie trying to control from Sauve's half guard. Sauve has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Sauve wants to sweep but no luck.
Sauve is trying to keep Gracie in close.
Sauve has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gracie forces his way into half guard.

Gracie seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Sauve has recovered full guard.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Sauve keeps moving.
Sauve pulls Gracie in close to his closed guard and prevents Gracie from doing any damage or advancing position.

Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Sauve is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sauve looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sauve looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sauve!
Gracie tries to buck Sauve off but Sauve is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sauve lands an elbow.
Sauve advances nicely into full mount.
Sauve fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Sauve breaks from Gracie's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Sauve looking to finish Gracie with some ground and pound. This is bad for Gracie!
Gracie slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Sauve dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Sauve shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gracie's guard.

Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sauve defends well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Sauve throws a big right hand that misses.
Sauve is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Gracie looking for a sweep. Not yet Gracie, not yet.
Sauve postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Gracie keeping moving, preventing Sauve from controlling successfully.

Sauve avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sauve with a nice head shot there.

Gracie has momentary wrist control but Sauve slips an elbow through the middle.

Sauve is in close to Gracie's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Sauve wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.
Sauve keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gracie's head.

Gracie looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sauve cracks Gracie with a solid left hand.

Gracie working for a triangle but Sauve defends it easily.
Gracie takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Sauve loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kyle Sauve showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Sauve has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
