Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fritz Gouda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudy Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fritz Gouda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rudy Dog!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gouda moves in looking to clinch but Dog pushes him off.

Gouda closes the distance and clinches.
Gouda lands a right hand.
Dog is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
A left hand lands to the body for Gouda.
Gouda creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Dog's defenses.


It looks like Rudy Dog has been cut.
Gouda landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Gouda gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Dog is working an open guard so Gouda takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Gouda fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dog, pushing him back against the ropes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gouda tries to clinch up but Dog circles away and keeps his distance.

Gouda has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gouda landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
A short body shot lands from Gouda as the two fighters clinch.

Gouda gets control of Dog's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gouda will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Dog throws a strike but Gouda rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Dog swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gouda displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dog.

Dog tries to close the distance and clinch but Gouda swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Dog is trying to drag Gouda to the mat but Gouda just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.

Dog goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gouda has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dog but great work by Gouda.

Dog might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gouda kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
