The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omar is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hamz.
Hamz scores with a one two! Omar had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Omar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hamz's waist but Hamz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Omar off to one side.
Hamz goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Omar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hamz but Hamz pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Omar is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hamz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Omar circles away quickly and effectively.

Hamz lands a left and a right that send Omar crashing to the mat, dazed. Hamz thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Omar takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hamz is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Hamz connects with a stiff jab that staggers Omar - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
