Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Jay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Shaun Baker!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Jay.
Jay keeps Baker at a distance using the push kick.
Jay doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Baker jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Baker thuds a left hand into Jay's body.
Jay lands a head kick. Baker smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Baker gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Baker can't keep his opponent in guard - Jay advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Jay seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Baker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Baker wants to get back to his feet.
Jay works his way into full mount!
Jay can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Baker is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jay working for a submission but Baker is keeping him at bay.
Jay looking to control but Baker is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
You get the feeling that Baker really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Jay is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Baker is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Baker flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Jay anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Baker and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Jay slips an arm under Baker chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Jay has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Jay is squeezing on Baker like an anaconda would it's prey. Baker fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jay Jay!
