PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bradley Nowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angus MacCallum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nowell might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Doin Time. MacCallum has chosen Scotland the Brave as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bradley Nowell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Angus MacCallum!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacCallum takes a swing at Nowell's ribcage but misses.
MacCallum tries to clinch but Nowell moves out of range.
Nowell keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Nowell feints and as MacCallum raises his hands in defense, Nowell changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
MacCallum keeping moving, preventing Nowell from controlling successfully.
Nowell is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
MacCallum is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Nowell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Nowell wants to pass the guard but MacCallum is keeping the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Nowell seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Nowell has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

MacCallum lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nowell circles away quickly and effectively.

That was a close round but I would say that Bradley Nowell will probably get the nod.
