Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shane Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes into the arena with Du Hast- Rammstein blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Shane Smith has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silva swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Silva crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Smith - the referee stops the clock and Silva gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Smith. Silva manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
Silva tries to clinch up but Smith circles away and keeps his distance.
Silva walks into a jab.
Silva misses with a wild combination.
Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Smith moves into range and clinches up with Silva.
Silva stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Silva pulls guard successfully.
Silva wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment.
Smith wants to get up but he can't break Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Silva is looking for a triangle but Smith pushes his legs off easily.

Smith decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Smith is breathing heavily.

Silva has managed to clinch.

Smith has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Silva clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Silva tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva tries to reverse the position but Smith maintains control.
Silva tries to hold on but Smith postures up.
Silva is trying desperately to improve position.
Silva is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Silva manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Silva regains full guard. Nicely done.
Silva not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Smith tries to stand but Silva is controlling from the bottom.
Smith wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Smith stacks Silva on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Smith!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Silva is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Smith off and has taken his back!

Smith turns into Silva and is now in his guard.

Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smith can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Smith gets to his feet. Silva looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Silva moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off.
Silva wants to clinch but Smith slips to the side
and Smith counters with a big head kick but Silva shrugs it off.
Smith takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Fedor Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Smith tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Silva moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off.

Silva closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Smith drops down looking for an ankle pick but Silva pulls his leg out and moves away.

Silva scores a takedown into full mount!
Silva sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Silva thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Silva works his way to his opponent's back.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Silva has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Smith! Can he survive? No! He's out! Silva gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
