Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Duddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ADRIAN ROBLES (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). ROBLES has chosen THE FINAL COUNT DOWN as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, ADRIAN ROBLES!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duddy moves into the clinch.
ROBLES goes for a takedown attempt but Duddy pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Duddy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
John Duddy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Duddy moves into the clinch.
ROBLES tries for a takedown but Duddy manages to get underhooks.
ROBLES keeps control of Duddy as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Duddy can't break the clinch.
Duddy changes levels and goes for a takedown here. ROBLES fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Duddy misses with a few strikes there.

Duddy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Duddy lands in his opponent's guard.
ROBLES wants to sweep here but Duddy controlling him for the moment.

ROBLES can't keep his opponent in guard - Duddy advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duddy tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
ROBLES wants to improve his position but Duddy is controlling well.

Duddy decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Duddy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts ROBLES as he jumps to the side.
ROBLES throws a series of punches but Duddy avoids them all with ease.
Duddy throws a left and a right that both miss

and ROBLES counters with a takedown into side control.
Duddy tries to buck ROBLES off but ROBLES is having none of it.
ROBLES tries to advance to mount but Duddy denies him.
Duddy wants to control but ROBLES postures up.
ROBLES tries to move to mount but Duddy blocks the move with his legs.
Duddy is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

ROBLES decides to take the fight back to the feet.
ROBLES shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Duddy counters with a two punch combo.
John Duddy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of ADRIAN ROBLES.
ROBLES looks gassed!

ROBLES closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Duddy to the mat! Duddy manages to get full guard.
ROBLES postures up.
Duddy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
ROBLES wants to get up but he can't break Duddy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Duddy pushes ROBLES off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
ROBLES tries for a takedown but Duddy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Duddy looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for ROBLES!

Duddy stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Duddy digs a good body shot into ROBLES's ribs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Duddy misses with a series of wild punches.

ROBLES shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Duddy is trying to defend but ROBLES finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

ROBLES wants to lay and pray for a moment but Duddy keeps working.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
ROBLES won't allow Duddy to get back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A head kick misses from ROBLES.
Duddy lands with a cross.
Duddy misses with the combination.

Duddy moves into range and clinches up with ROBLES.
ROBLES tries to score a body lock takedown but Duddy shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Duddy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Duddy gets a takedown into half guard.
Duddy content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

ROBLES is looking to control Duddy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can ROBLES avoid being mounted?
Duddy takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Duddy decides to stand and escape the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Duddy misses with a jab, cross combination.

Duddy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming ROBLES to the mat! ROBLES manages to get full guard.
ROBLES wants to sweep here but Duddy controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Duddy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but ROBLES moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
ROBLES swats away the attempt to clinch by Duddy.

ROBLES throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Duddy was covering up waiting for the punch and ROBLES finishes the takedown easily into guard.

ROBLES takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
ROBLES is looking to advance position but Duddy has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
ROBLES is in all sorts of trouble here.

Duddy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Duddy get's back to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from ROBLES is defended easily by Duddy.
John Duddy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Duddy throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Duddy misses with a double jab.
Duddy throws a series of punches but ROBLES moves out of range.
Danga de danga de dang - Duddy scores with a four punch combination!

Duddy jabs ROBLES right on the nose. ROBLES blinks but takes it well.
Duddy throws a left and a right that both miss
and ROBLES counters with a slapping leg kick.
Duddy moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Duddy scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Duddy shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Duddy decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Duddy looks to land a combination but ROBLES avoids it well.
Duddy moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
ROBLES shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Duddy as he jumps to the side.

Duddy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Duddy decides to stand up.

ROBLES tries to keep at a distance but Duddy has taken the fight into the clinch.
ROBLES keeps control of Duddy as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

ROBLES gets caught flat footed, as Duddy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Duddy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on ROBLES, up you get!
Duddy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
ROBLES shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Duddy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
John Duddy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
John Duddy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of ADRIAN ROBLES.
Duddy buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Duddy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
John Duddy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
ROBLES thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

John Duddy showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Duddy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
