Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marko Maric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch up but Maric circles away and keeps his distance.

Silva moves into range and clinches up with Maric.
Maric has had enough of the clinch but Silva keeps him there for the moment.
Silva wants a takedown.
Silva jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Maric walks away with a smile on his face. Silva gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Maric lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Silva has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Silva and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maric is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Maric circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close round but I would say that Marko Maric will probably get the nod.

Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Maric tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Maric to the ground. Maric escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
