Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randall Swain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cheetah del Mexico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Swain might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lunatic Fringe. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Randall Swain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cheetah del Mexico!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swain avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Swain uses good head movement to avoid the hook from del Mexico.
Swain uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before del Mexico has time to react.
del Mexico shoots in and drives through. Swain sprawls well.
Swain tests del Mexico's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A lazy left from Swain finds it's target.
The fighters circle momentarily. Swain darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Nice uppercut there from Swain.
del Mexico shoots in but Swain avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Randall Swain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cheetah del Mexico.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice cross by Swain.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Swain, as that shot connected.

Swain moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! del Mexico goes down! Can Swain finish him!?

Swain passes del Mexico's left leg - he's now in half guard.
del Mexico is still in real trouble! Can Swain finish him?
Well, if Swain is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
del Mexico seems to have recovered his senses.

Swain moves nicely into side control.
Swain cracks del Mexico with a big right hand but del Mexico just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

del Mexico might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Swain kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Swain tries for a kimura but del Mexico is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Swain cracks del Mexico with a big right hand but del Mexico just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

You can see the frustration on del Mexico's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

del Mexico is looking for a triangle but Swain pushes his legs off easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

del Mexico has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Swain can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

del Mexico is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Swain pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. del Mexico is keeping the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randall Swain dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


del Mexico shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Swain loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Swain trying to control the position from guard on top but del Mexico is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Swain is sitting in close to del Mexico's body. del Mexico has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Swain is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Swain is tapping! That was a very nice submission by del Mexico.
