The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gomi looks to land a combination but Tanaka avoids it well.

Tanaka has control of Gomi's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gomi regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Tanaka is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gomi to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gomi shrugs it off.
Tanaka is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gomi has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That was a close second round but I would say that Takanori Gomi will probably get the nod.
