Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between sam miguel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Kamang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). sam miguel has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
miguel takes one on the button.
Kamang stalks miguel and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into miguel's face. miguel staggers backwards, shaken.
Kamang lands a nice shot to the body.
Kamang avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kamang lands with a hook. miguel tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

miguel darts in and clinches Kamang up against the cage.
Kamang can't break the clinch.

miguel decides to pull guard.

miguel manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kamang!
Kamang avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kamang lands with a cross.

miguel gets the takedown into side control.

miguel has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Kamang throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

and miguel counters with a single leg into guard. Kamang didn't expect that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

miguel is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

miguel is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kamang is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Kamang really doesn't want to stay on the ground with miguel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

miguel has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

miguel is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

miguel decides to return to a standing position.
Kamang lands a jab to the head.
miguel defending well as Kamang loads up on a big left hand.
miguel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kamang makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
miguel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kamang moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kamang tests miguel's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kamang shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and miguel counters with a single leg into guard. Kamang didn't expect that.
Kamang looks gassed!

miguel decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kamang, up you get!
Kamang lands with a right hand.

miguel feints and as Kamang raises his hands in defense, miguel changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
miguel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
miguel throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
miguel stands and throws Kamang's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Kamang on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

miguel cracks Kamang with a big right hand but Kamang just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kamang takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

miguel is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kamang has escaped the position, nice work there.
miguel lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kamang down.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kamang wants to break free but miguel has control.

Kamang would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kamang tries to free his leg and advance position but miguel is retaining full guard.
miguel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kamang manages to get himself to full guard.
Kamang is breathing heavily.

miguel stands up over Kamang, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
miguel postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
miguel chips away with some ground and pound.
Kamang wants to stand and escape but miguel is having none of it.
miguel controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
miguel scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
miguel slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

miguel decides to stand back up. miguel steps back and let's Kamang get back to his feet.

miguel has taken the fight to the clinch.

miguel gets control of Kamang's arms and successfully pulls guard. miguel will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
miguel has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

miguel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
miguel is controlling Kamang's posture.
Kamang wants to get up but he can't break miguel's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
miguel lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kamang!

miguel pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
miguel controlling the position easily from mount.
miguel scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
miguel tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

miguel has closed the distance and engaged Kamang in a clinch.

Kamang will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
miguel takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Kamang is trying to break the clinch but miguel is controlling him.
miguel is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
miguel unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kamang lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Kamang takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

miguel is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
miguel is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kamang can do to turn this around?

Kamang wants to stand and escape but instead miguel has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
miguel lands a couple of decent looking shots.

miguel stands and steps away. Kamang gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

miguel closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - miguel lands in his opponent's guard.
miguel is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

miguel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kamang.

miguel fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kamang sprawls well initially but miguel persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

miguel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

miguel has hold of Kamang's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Kamang seems comfortable defending it but miguel has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Kamang is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Kamang is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but miguel couldn't care less - he's delighted!
