Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Booby Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Lang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lang.
Hughes looks for the body kick but Lang saw that one coming.
Hughes throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Lang closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Lang is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hughes is just riding it out for now. Lang eventually gives up the hold.

Hughes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lang on the ground.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lang has hold of Hughes's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hughes manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hughes wants to control but Lang is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hughes reaches up to try and control the position but Lang seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Hughes rolls and tries to escape and now Lang has his back!

Well Lang has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
