The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaze looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Blaze shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Beltran defends it nicely.
Blaze shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Beltran as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Al Blaze. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Beltran slaps away a takedown attempt from Blaze, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Beltran clobbers Blaze with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Blaze shoots in but Beltran avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Blaze takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
No joy there for Beltran, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Beltran throws a series of punches but Blaze avoids them all with ease.
Blaze will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Blaze throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Beltran's waist but Beltran gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blaze off to one side.
No joy there for Beltran, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

It looks like Al Blaze has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Beltran lands with a nice combination. Blaze backs away looking to recover.
Beltran misses with a jab, cross combination.
Beltran throws a right and a left that Blaze avoids nicely.

Blaze looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Blaze takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Beltran ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Al Blaze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beltran getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Beltran throws a monster overhand right that drops Blaze! Beltran follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
