Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simbo Klice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taka Masahuku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Masahuku's choice of entrance music: Saltarello by Dead Can Dance. Taka Masahuku is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masahuku wants to clinch.
Masahuku fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Masahuku gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Klice throws a leg kick but Masahuku sees it coming and checks it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Klice throws out a loose jab but Masahuku uses good head movement to avoid it.
Klice misses with a hook.

Masahuku tries to clinch but Klice is having none of it.
Klice swings for the body but Masahuku moves out of range.

Klice scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Simbo Klice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Klice throws the left hand but Masahuku avoids the punch easily.

Klice misses with a looping left.
Masahuku tries to clinch up but Klice circles away and keeps his distance.

Masahuku looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Masahuku seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Klice has recovered full guard.

Klice will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Masahuku passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Masahuku thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Klice is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Masahuku is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Klice is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Masahuku has hold of Klice's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Klice seems comfortable defending it but Masahuku has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Klice is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Klice is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Masahuku couldn't care less - he's delighted!
