PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Piletich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buffalo Bill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piletich comes to the cage accompanied by King of Kings. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Buffalo Bill was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Piletich!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Buffalo Bill!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Piletich drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Bill seems a little lost for a moment, as Piletich dominates the positioning.

Piletich looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

You can see the frustration on Bill's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Piletich is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bill will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Piletich comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Piletich seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Piletich's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bill drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bill jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bill is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Piletich lands a left and a right that sends Bill crashing to the canvas! Piletich dives into mount looking to finish!

Matt Piletich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buffalo Bill.

Bill throws a leg kick which misses Piletich's front leg but catches the back leg as Piletich tries to avoid it.

Piletich changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bill looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Piletich is working to tighten is grip on Bill's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bill has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Piletich is really squeezing tight and eventually Bill passes out! Piletich breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
