Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lord Ocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazuya Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ocha comes to the cage accompanied by Everything in its right place. Lord Ocha had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lord Ocha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kazuya Takeshi!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeshi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ocha as he avoids it easily.

Ocha scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Ocha passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Takeshi!
Ocha with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Takeshi tries to hold on but Ocha postures up.
Takeshi trying desperately to get to his feet.
Takeshi has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Ocha is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Takeshi has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Takeshi is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Ocha gets his way!

Ocha is breathing heavily.
Takeshi just trying to survive but Ocha is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Ocha will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ocha is looking for a rear naked choke here but Takeshi reverses the position brilliantly into Ocha's guard!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Takeshi controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Takeshi lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Ocha is looking for a triangle but Takeshi pushes his legs off easily.
Takeshi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Takeshi stands and throws Ocha's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Takeshi is looking to take a break and control but Ocha is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

and Takeshi counters with a shoot takedown. Ocha fights it but they end up in guard.

Ocha is looking for a triangle but Takeshi pushes his legs off easily.
Takeshi tries to free his leg and advance position but Ocha is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Takeshi scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Ocha looking to hit a scissor sweep but Takeshi is one step ahead there.
Takeshi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ocha wants to sweep but no luck.

Takeshi gets to his feet - Ocha follows without any prompting.

Takeshi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ocha manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Ocha wants to advance to full mount but Takeshi doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Takeshi is desperately trying to improve his position but Ocha has a good base and remains in mount.
Ocha fails to move to back control.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Takeshi. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Takeshi bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Takeshi is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ocha has managed to free his arm - good work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Ocha closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Takeshi pushes Ocha off and gets back to his feet.

Takeshi not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Ocha regains full guard. Nicely done.
Takeshi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ocha swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ocha has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Takeshi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ocha manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Takeshi is looking to get to half guard.
Takeshi wants to hold on but Ocha pushes him away.
Takeshi is controlling an arm, preventing Ocha from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Ocha won't let Takeshi get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Ocha is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Takeshi to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Takeshi shrugs it off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Takeshi prevents any damage by holding on tight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lord Ocha will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Ocha misses with a takedown

and Takeshi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Takeshi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ocha isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Takeshi stacks Ocha on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Takeshi!

Takeshi decides to stand back up.

Takeshi feints and as Ocha raises his hands in defense, Takeshi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Takeshi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Ocha tries to bench press Takeshi off him but Takeshi keeps the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Takeshi tries to advance to mount but can't.
Takeshi in side control lands a decent elbow.
Ocha manages to get back to half guard.
Ocha wants to improve his position but Takeshi is controlling well.
Takeshi landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Takeshi content to control rather than advance.

Takeshi decides to return to a standing position.

and Ocha decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Takeshi's guard.

Ocha passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Takeshi!
Takeshi wants to control but Ocha is having none of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ocha is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Takeshi defends it well.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Kazuya Takeshi.
I think Takeshi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
