The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day misses with a straight right.
A punch lands to the side of Day 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Elvington lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Day looks to land a combination but Elvington avoids it well.
Good leg kick by Elvington there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Elvington ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Day moves away.
Day takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Day throws a series of punches but Elvington moves out of range.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Day misses with a looping left.
Day swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Day is breathing heavily.

Elvington shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Elvington slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Day stops Elvington from passing to mount.
Day is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Elvington lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Elvington.

Day tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Elvington smiles and moves away.
Day looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Day lands a really nice looking cross but Elvington seems unphased.
Elvington misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Day jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Day misses with a looping right.
Day with a lazy takedown attempt

and Elvington holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Elvington lands a takedown into guard.
Elvington trying to control but Day is working from the bottom.

Day is looking for a triangle but Elvington pushes his legs off easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Day looking for subs off his back but Elvington has passed one foot through into half guard.

Day actively working from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Develen Elvington dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Day throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Day throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Elvington counters with a slapping leg kick.
Day takes one on the button.
Elvington lands a two punch combo.
Day drops his hands momentarily and Elvington takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Day has his takedown stuffed
and Elvington counters with a low kick, right behind Day 's knee.
Day throws a hook but Elvington avoids it easily.
A nice inside leg kick there by Elvington. That's going to slow Day down.
Elvington lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Day circles away quickly and effectively.
Garrett Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Day is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Look low, kick high! Elvington uses the oldest trick in the book to send Day tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Elvington is absolutely delighted - when Day wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
