PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobba Sapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gibki Vlad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sapp comes into the arena with SHAFT- Isaac hayes blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobba Sapp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Gibki Vlad!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sapp looks to land a combination but Vlad avoids it well.
Sapp misses with a few strikes there.

Vlad gets the takedown into side control.
Vlad is looking to take a break and control but Sapp is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Vlad tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Sapp parries the strikes from Vlad easily there. Vlad is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sapp to escape.
Vlad wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sapp keeps working.

Vlad is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sapp knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Vlad is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sapp has escaped the position, nice work there.
Sapp tries to improve position but can't.
Vlad misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Vlad throwing strikes but Sapp manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Vlad managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Sapp.

Sapp decides to stand back up. Sapp steps back and let's Vlad get back to his feet.
Sapp throws a hook but Vlad blocks it.
The crowd cheers as Sapp lands an impressive looking overhand right. Vlad doesn't seem phased though.
A jab from Sapp finds it's way through Vlad's defenses.

It looks like Gibki Vlad has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sapp swings for the body but Vlad moves out of range.
Sapp bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Vlad closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sapp did well to prevent Vlad getting side control.

Vlad is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sapp sees it coming and defends easily.
Vlad seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sapp does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Sapp wants to control but Vlad is keeping busy.
Well, if Vlad is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Vlad looks to land a strike but Sapp avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sapp lands a nice shot to the body.
Vlad looks gassed!
Vlad uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sapp.
Sapp misses with a series of wild punches.
Sapp punishes Vlad's body with a nice straight punch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sapp cracks Vlad with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Sapp dances in with a quick combination. Vlad is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Sapp snaps Vlad's head back. Vlad stumbles backwards against the ropes. Sapp steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Vlad's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Vlad just didn't come prepared.
