PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rampage Crackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukas Svoboda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crackson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Clap for the Wolfman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Rampage Crackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Lukas Svoboda!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crackson slips a jab and a cross from Svoboda.
Svoboda throws a lazy right hand but Crackson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Crackson punishes Svoboda's body with a nice straight punch.
Svoboda misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A jab from Svoboda finds it's way through Crackson's defenses.

Crackson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Svoboda looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Crackson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Crackson lands a nice forearm strike.
Crackson working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Crackson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Svoboda looks to score with a jab to the body but Crackson is just out of range.
Svoboda takes a swing at Crackson's ribcage but misses.
Crackson throws a series of punches but Svoboda moves out of range.
Crackson avoids the body shot from Svoboda.
Svoboda will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Svoboda moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like Rampage Crackson has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Svoboda misses with a double jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Crackson.

Crackson gets a takedown into half guard.

Svoboda is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Crackson pulls his head out easily.

Svoboda has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Crackson is working away from the top position though.
Crackson wants to pass to mount but Svoboda is defending the position.
Svoboda is trying to maintain the position but Crackson is very close to passing his half guard.
Crackson is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Svoboda working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Crackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Crackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Crackson stands up over Svoboda, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Svoboda is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Crackson rather than just go for the knockout.
Crackson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lukas Svoboda is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Svoboda throws a right hand that Crackson ducks under and follows up with a left that Crackson also avoids with ease.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

and Crackson counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Svoboda is pressing down on Crackson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Crackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Svoboda is retaining full guard.
Svoboda utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Svoboda is controlling Crackson's posture.
Svoboda is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Svoboda misses with a few strikes there.
Crackson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Crackson misses the shot to the body.
Crackson thows a body shot but no joy.
Crackson throws a nice looking combination but Svoboda bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Crackson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Crackson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Svoboda's guard now.

Svoboda has his feet on Crackson's thighs here. He's pushed Crackson off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Crackson screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
