Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Tanjili (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Tanjili! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Hunt! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanjili feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hunt trying to control the position.
Tanjili stays in close to Hunt's body and controls the position. Tanjili wants to control from the top but Hunt keeps moving. Tanjili thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Tanjili looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Hunt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanjili forces his way into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hunt avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Tanjili. Tanjili looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Tanjili decides to return to a standing position. Mike Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tanjili decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Hunt looks like he's trying to stand up.

Tanjili slows the pace down in half guard. Hunt is staying active underneath Tanjili, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tanjili wants to work for an arm triangle but Hunt is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Tanjili wants to stand up but Hunt manages to regain full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hunt lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Chris Tanjili has been cut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunt scores with a nice body kick.
Hunt throws a nice looking combination but Tanjili bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. The fighters circle momentarily. Hunt darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Hunt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tanjili's waist but Tanjili gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hunt off to one side. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hunt throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hunt tries to clinch up. Hunt tries to clinch up. Hunt throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hunt's corner calls for a 1-2. Hunt obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Tanjili doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hunt counters with a low kick, right behind Tanjili 's knee. Tanjili tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hunt sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tanjili somewhat. Hunt clinches up against the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hunt fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Tanjili tries to pull guard but Hunt holds him up against the cage and eventually Tanjili drops back down to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Hunt dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chris Tanjili's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Hunt defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tanjili. Hunt Rushes Tanjili and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Tanjili is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Hunt Piles on the pressure and Tanjili crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
