Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gahan misses with a body shot.
Gahan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gahan lands a jab.
Jab by Gahan.
Smedley throws the kick towards the body but Gahan avoids it.
Gahan is looking to clinch.
Gahan rushes Smedley and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gahan is leaning against Smedley and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Smedley tries for a takedown but Gahan manages to get underhooks.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Gahan.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Gahan as Smedley tries to tie him up.
Gahan is pressed up against the cage. Smedley has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gahan down to the mat. Gahan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Smedley fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dean Smedley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smedley has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gahan lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Gahan tries to break the clinch but Smedley is controlling the position.

Smedley keeps control of Gahan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Gahan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Smedley has him pressed against the cage.

Gahan wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gahan lands a body shot.
Gahan manages to break the clinch.
Gahan fails in his attempt to clinch.

The referee is keeping an eye on Gahan - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Gahan lands a hook that snaps the head of Smedley backwards.
Gahan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Smedley manages to pull guard.
Smedley isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gahan stacks Smedley on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gahan!
Smedley is breathing heavily.
Smedley is trying to improve his position.
Gahan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smedley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A lull in the action here.
Smedley is looking for a sweep.

Gahan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Smedley sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Gahan wants to stand but Smedley has his arm trapped.
Gahan has control of an arm but Smedley manages to advance to Gahan's back!
Gahan is trying to get back to his feet but Smedley has full control of the position and if anything, Gahan has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Smedley has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Gahan is in real trouble here. Smedley gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Gahan is tapping out! Smedley wins by rear naked choke!
