The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hultquist throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hultquist throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pop fails with a takedown attempt.
Pop throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Pop instigates a clinch.

Pop escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pop misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hultquist circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pop swinging wildly here.
Pop tries to move into range but Hultquist moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Pop tries to clinch up but Hultquist circles away and keeps his distance.
Hultquist misses with the combination.
Trey Hultquist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Tokyo Pop has been cut.
Hultquist fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Pop on the side of the head.
Pop misses with the combination.
Pop throws a series of punches but Hultquist moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hultquist blocks a head kick by Pop.
Hultquist lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hultquist.
Pop throws a combination that misses
and Hultquist counters with a straight right hand.
Pop looks gassed!
Hultquist lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pop circles away quickly and effectively.
Pop walks into a left hand.
Hultquist connects with a right hand. Pop shakes it off.
Pop is looking to clinch.
Hultquist uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pop.
Hultquist thuds his right hand into Pop's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Hultquist moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Pop is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hultquist lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Pop falls backwards - clearly groggy! Hultquist dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
