Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Grappler Striking (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blixt Boxlund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boxlund throws a nice looking combination but Striking bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Blixt Boxlund seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blixt Boxlund is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boxlund throws a shot from downtown. Striking moves away and avoids it.
Striking lands a nice leg kick that just misses Boxlund's sensitive parts.
Striking throws a leg kick which misses Boxlund's front leg but catches the back leg as Boxlund tries to avoid it.

Striking shoots for a double leg takedown but Boxlund sprawls well. He's pushed Striking's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Boxlund is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Striking.

Striking feints and then cracks Boxlund's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Boxlund down.
Boxlund might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Horrible takedown by Striking or perhaps it was just good defense by Boxlund which made him look bad.

Striking tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Striking has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Striking has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Boxlund is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Striking off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Boxlund throws an overhand right that lands on Striking's shoulder, as Striking tries to avoid the shot.

Boxlund gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Blixt Boxlund has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Grappler Striking is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Striking looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Blixt Boxlund comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
