PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Soderstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DEAN RUSSO (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soderstrom comes to the cage accompanied by Base 10 - new day. RUSSO has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. DEAN RUSSO is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
RUSSO shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Soderstrom as he jumps to the side.
Soderstrom misses with an attempted mid kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Soderstrom tries to roll over but RUSSO keeps him under control.

RUSSO is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Soderstrom is just riding it out for now. RUSSO eventually gives up the hold.

RUSSO changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Soderstrom tries to avoid it but RUSSO manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Soderstrom to the ground. Soderstrom escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

RUSSO swings around for an armbar but Soderstrom sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into RUSSO's guard.

Soderstrom turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips RUSSO off and cradles Soderstrom's limp body as RUSSO celebrates with his corner.
