The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vlum pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vlum tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Taratarov is able to avoid easily.
Vlum feints and then cracks Taratarov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Taratarov down.
Vlum throws a front kick that sends Taratarov stumbling back into the cage.
Taratarov looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vlum throws a head kick but Taratarov moves out of range.

Taratarov scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Vlum gets back to half guard.
Vlum avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Taratarov.

Vlum lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Taratarov!

Vlum is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Vlum extends the arm and Taratarov is forced to tap!
