Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, crew kansaa!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from kansaa.
Smith lands with a right hand.
Smith lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Smith.
kansaa tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
kansaa throws a series of punches but Smith moves out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
kansaa fails to pull guard.
kansaa can't break the clinch.
kansaa is trying to break the clinch but Smith has him pressed against the cage.

Smith breaks the clinch.
kansaa fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Smith clinches with his opponent.
Smith is trying to drag kansaa to the mat but kansaa just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smith lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as kansaa backs up against the cage.
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with kansaa, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes kansaa against the cage but kansaa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
kansaa blocks a head kick by Smith.
kansaa throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

That's one minute gone in the round.
kansaa throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Smith's head.
kansaa misses with a body kick.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smith digs a good body shot into kansaa's ribs.
kansaa shoots in but no luck this time.
Michael Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of crew kansaa.

Smith has closed the distance and engaged kansaa in a clinch.

Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
kansaa tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Smith counters with a two punch combo.

kansaa is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him?

Smith closes the distance looking for a takedown. kansaa stuffs it but Smith still has hold of him. Smith picks kansaa up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Smith slams kansaa to the floor and that's really hurt kansaa - he doesn't know where he is! Smith throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
