Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Mozzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kelvin Keenan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricardo Mozzi has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kelvin Keenan!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mozzi is looking to clinch but Keenan is avoiding it.
Mozzi lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Mozzi throws an overhand right that lands on Keenan's shoulder, as Keenan tries to avoid the shot.
Keenan slips a straight right by Mozzi.

Keenan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mozzi lunges at Keenan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Keenan's hand.

Keenan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mozzi sprawls well initially but Keenan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Keenan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Keenan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mozzi sees it coming and defends easily.

Keenan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Keenan is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Mozzi to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mozzi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Keenan is one step ahead there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mozzi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Keenan defends well.

Keenan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mozzi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Keenan has managed to get both his arms back between Mozzi's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Keenan tries to free his leg and advance position but Mozzi is retaining full guard.

Mozzi tries to bum rush Keenan with a series of wild strikes but Keenan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Keenan throws a looping overhand right but Mozzi ducks down to avoid it.

Mozzi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Keenan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mozzi throws a body punch but Keenan moves out of range.
Keenan misses the jab.
Mozzi is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Keenan takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Keenan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Mozzi cracks Keenan with a right hand to the side of the head.
Mozzi tries to close the distance and clinch but Keenan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Mozzi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Keenan was well out of range. Poor timing from Mozzi.
Keenan throws a jab when Mozzi was well out of range.
Mozzi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Keenan manages to avoid it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Keenan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mozzi napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Keenan is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Keenan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mozzi kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
