PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lazer Phazer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaius Augustus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lazer Phazer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gaius Augustus!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phazer waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Augustus. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Augustus to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Augustus is rocked!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Phazer shoots in looking for a takedown. Augustus tries to sprawl out of it but Phazer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Augustus manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Phazer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Augustus looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Phazer wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Augustus, who protects the arm well.
Phazer is trying to ground and pound but Augustus uses the momentary lack of control by Phazer to regain half guard.

Phazer is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Augustus reverses the position - he's now on top in Phazer's guard.

Augustus stands up and beckons Phazer to his feet.

Augustus throws a leg kick but Phazer moved away.
Phazer throws out a loose jab but Augustus uses good head movement to avoid it.
Augustus throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Phazer sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Augustus ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Phazer moves away.
Augustus throws the left hand but Phazer avoids the punch easily.
Augustus misses with a straight left.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Phazer.
