Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between SEAN SHERK (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaius Talentus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SHERK stuffs the takedown attempt from Talentus. Talentus gets slowly back to his feet.

Talentus gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Talentus throws a strike but SHERK rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

SHERK drops back looking for a leg! Talentus is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Talentus manages to kick SHERK off! SHERK jumps back into Talentus's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Talentus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

SHERK is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Talentus has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Talentus!

SHERK has his feet on Talentus's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Talentus closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Talentus wants to work for an arm triangle but SHERK is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Talentus uses his free foot to push down on SHERK's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for SHERK.
